There is no "hard rule" that any one travel company is always lower than another.
To get the "best deal", compare different on line companies for the hotel on the specific dates
you have selected. One company may be hundreds of dollars more than another. Make sure
you "click through" to the last page of the actual reservation process to get the "final price" that
will be charged to your card, and make sure what "fees and taxes" this price includes.
If you don't have a "concrete" travel date, try a few dates "around" when you plan to travel.
Many times a few days one way or the other can save you a lot of money. Especially make
sure to find out when the "peak" seasons are and the "off" seasons. This can cut the prices
by over 50% on a Freeport Bahama or Grand Bahama vacation.
he peak season for a Freeport Bahama Grand Bahama vacation is between December 15th and Easter.
Most of the hotels are booked to capacity during these months and because rooms are at a premium,
the prices are their highest. If you are planning your Grand Bahama Island vacation to Freeport, or any of the
other
popular destinations during these times, book your reservations way in advance.
Easter and mid-December are "off season" for the islands. A good number of tourists still visit the Bahamas,
but a higher percentage are international instead of American. The most appealing part about travel during these
periods are that rates are lower, sometimes as much as 40%!
Hotel Transactions.
Hotel rooms are marketed under two different business models, depending on the preferences of the hotel suppliers.
The first is the traditional or "postpaid" model, where you book a room on line at published rates.
You pay for that room, plus any applicable taxes, governmental fees and other charges directly to the hotel at check-out.
The second business model is the "prepaid" model (also known as the "net rate" or "merchant" model).
The charge for the room is collected from you up front plus any additional Processing Service Fee by the "travel company".
The payments for any applicable taxes, governmental fees and other charges may or may not be included in this price.

Freeport Bahamas has a warm, agreeable climate which varies little year-round. This is due to the trade winds, which continually blow, keeping it cool in summer and warm in the winter. The coolest time to take a vacation to one of the Bahamas islands or a Freeport Bahamas vacation is from September through May when the temperature averages 70-75 degrees. The rest of the year is little warmer with temperatures between 80-85 degrees. From November through April each year rainfall is scarce however, showers can occur during the months of May through October. Always remember, there's really never a "bad time" for a Grand Bahamas vacation, or for visiting Freeport / Lucaya.
